In FJ Carbie heaven at the mo

Comparing mine right, with Alans  left. The only difference found is float height by a mil and a bit.
Rick came by for a visit and showed me a Yamaha diagram that took measurements from the screw head/ flange that holds the float bowl to the carb .
More research needed

good  to   see you  yesterday john ,  yup  the  diagram   I  showed  you was  from  the    Yamaha   service  manual for the  sport  5k7    or  1.1s   "S "    variant .   which does`nt  give a  float height  in mm as  such    but  the  diagram   shows    a  WG  level   to  float bowl  chamber  +_3mm  ,  the  image shows  the  level  pretty much  with the screw  heads to  the float chambers ,    and after   a  number  of   fill ,drain ,adjust float tangs , fill and measure again  .. hokey  cokey ,  once  I was  happy   and refitted  to the  bike  again .  ran the best   it  ever  has    .   great  ride  down n  back   ,great  weather ,very little traffic   as I  took all the  minor  country  rds  back .

Done 5 miles so far, goes like stink, even with new pistons and rings.
Filled the tank at a  petrol station and have a steady drip  from the cap overflow hose.Presume the internal pipe is perforated, not quite sure how to fix.
Have a big grin now
Still not sure if I've overdosed on the GREEN

Colour looks good to me - perhaps some subtle decals are needed?

Glad you've got it up and running mate.
What's with that funny little silencer?

Interesting thought... But don't you need 'members' for a 'Club'..?

The Moturd silencer is ridiculously huge /long and heavy and would need a red flag tied to it to warn peeps not to trip over it!
So a little cheap Eytie [Italian for those that don't understand,English] straight through silencer off fleabay does the job nicely for me

Doesn't the rad fit over the bracket? And is the bracket upside down?
See those rubber grommets and the thread in the bracket mounting points.
